TRIO
EXCLUSIVE CONTENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FREE FOR DOWNLOAD AND INCLUDES A COVER OF THE CURE'S "CUT HERE"
LOS ANGELES - January 22, 2008 - MySpace Music the world's premier music community, is proud to announce that one of the biggest names in punk rock, Alkaline Trio, will take part in the ninth installment of MySpace Transmissions, going live
today on http://www.myspace.com/transmissions .
Alkaline Trio is Matt Skiba (guitar/vocals), Derek Grant (drums), and Dan
Andriano (bass). Emerging from the working class suburbs of Chicago in 1996,
Alkaline Trio's career was propelled by the 2003 release of Good Mourning,
their first full-length of the current lineup, which was met with critical
praise. The band has since led the charge in defining a genre of music,
selling nearly a million records and continuing to maintain a rabid fan
base. The band's latest album Agony & Irony was recorded in Los Angeles with
producer Josh Abraham (Linkin Park, Slayer, Unwritten Law). The Cure has
always been one of Alkaline Trio's favorite bands and their cover of the
2001 Cure song "Cut Here" was inspired by seeing their heroes play a MySpace
Secret Show the night prior to their Transmissions session.
